Exchange apps between iOS and Android? You can still dream!
The question of the day comes from Robin who asks us if there is a way to transfer purchases made from the AppStore to Google Play . Basically, can an app purchased for iOS be installed on an Android smartphone ?
Unfortunately no, it is totally impossible, on the one hand because the war is raging between the two platforms, so there is no commercial agreement to transfer purchases, and secondly, because the apps are simply incompatible.
The only thing to do is to watch the apps that go from paid to free among those that interest you. It happens very often, both on iOS and on Android.
Joker: the call to a developer friend
But you can also try to ask the developers the question directly, with a little luck, they will answer you, and you never know, on a misunderstanding, they could offer you free access to the Android version, if you have already bought the iOS version. In any case, it costs nothing to try!
Also be aware that reimbursement of iOS applications is possible. You can request it from your iTunes account , but it will not work on old purchases (the limit is now set at 15 days).
How do I get an Appstore app reimbursed?
And above all, you can only do it on one or two apps, because you risk passing for a profiteer and being blacklisted. Here is just a small manual to get reimbursed for an app bought on the Appstore. When you buy an app on the AppStore, you have fifteen days to get a refund if you are not satisfied or if you made a mistake. To do this, simply go to iTunes on your computer. You then click on “Your account”, then go to “Purchase History”, then “Report”, then again “Report” in front of the app in question. You will then be sent to the iTunes site where you can indicate that you bought this application by mistake. Obviously, do not abuse, otherwise as I told you above, you risk being blacklisted after five cancellations. What does that mean? You will no longer be entitled to any other reimbursement. I really advise you to use this trick only on a limited number of purchased applications.
